Profile

He was a member of the first batch of the National College of Education and joined the public service as a Science Teacher and then entered the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service in 1999. He served as a teacher, principal, Director of Education and a Commissioner of Examinations and worked in various parts of the island including the North and East. He served a long period of time in Sri Lanka Examinations Department and the Ministry of Education and provided a special contribution to the development in the field of teacher education. He is a alumnus of Sri Jayawardanapura University and the Colombo University and has obtained a training on measurements and evaluation from Melbourne University and completed his PHD degree after winning a World Bank scholarship offered by the University of Colombo.
