Function of Branch

Taking actions to develop learning, teaching and evaluation of the subjects Business and Accounts Study, Entrepreneurship Study at the G.C.E. (O/L) subject stream and Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, Business Statistics, Events Management, Entrepreneurship Skills at G.C.E. (Advanced Level)   

  • Teacher capacity building programs.
  • Sensitizing, directing and instructing the Subject Directors and progress reviewing.
  • Question Bank.

Conducting co-curricular programs to develop entrepreneurship skills of children.

  • Employment Bank
  • Business Societies
  • Projects for the subjects of entrepreneurship.
  • Holding exhibitions.

Providing necessary competencies to improve the vocational trend of commerce students.

  • Providing NVQ 4 for the vocational subjects including Events Management and Entrepreneurship Skills.
  • Holding commerce day and commerce week at school levels and student camps at zonal level.

Use of computer technology for the development of accounts subject.  

  • Preparing a software for accounts.

Providing practical learning opportunities through the coordination with various vocational institutions relevant to the field of commerce subject.

Conducting certificate courses in collaboration with the universities for the teachers who teach commerce subjects at G.C.E. (Advanced Level).
