Function of Branch

Identification of Vision and Mission for primary education at national level and sensitizing about it at vertical and horizontal levels.

Preparing concept papers, policies and proposals related to the development of primary education and the necessary circulars instruction letters necessary for primary education.

Identification of plans and strategies at national level and depending on that designing short term and long term plans of primary education branch, implementing them and be responsible for them. 

In line with the national level objectives of primary education, monitoring the provinces, zones, divisions and schools.

Maintaining the coordination with National Institute of education, Educational Publications Department, the Department of Examinations and other institutions for the development of primary education. 

Identification of issues in the implementation of primary education curriculum and conducting special programs necessary for that purpose.

Maintaining the coordination with local and foreign institutions to implement special programs related with the primary educational activities. 

Monitoring the management affairs in the primary education sections in National Schools.
